GreenHeroes are remarkable people who acted on their idea and heroically “ventured forth” to protect our planet. Through their stories, our goal is to inspire people, like you, to become GreenHeroes too.
On the web and on our TV show, GreenHeroes tells the story of change – of how people improved their lives, what their tipping point moments were and how they overcome obstacles to become a GreenHero.
We want you to TELL US a great story of how YOU or PEOPLE you know are acting in new and exciting ways to make our world a greener place.
All videos, images and stories will be available on GreenHeroes.tv so that other fans from around the world will be able to view your entry, rate it, comment on it and blog about it. The highest ranked entries will be featured on GreenHeroes.tv, then move on to the next level of competition and be featured on television.
What can you do to make a difference to the environment, in your community, in your home and in your world? We invite you to get involved by connecting you directly to the campaigns of our GreenHeroes. Our “Take Action” blog keeps you up-to-date on the latest news and Green Happenings of our heroes and ways you can get involved.
We believe that the way to make a change is to make videos and help spread the word to others. We encourage you to comment and rate our videos and to share them through your social networks.
We hope you will contribute and act on your own ideas to help green the planet. Check out our celebrity GreenHeroes on our weekly television series, GreenHeroes, on TVO beginning Tuesday, November 2 at 7 p.m., as well as short features airing on TVO and Sun TV throughout the year.

Make videos 1 minute to 3 minutes in length to demonstrate you or your Hero’s passion for the planet, or share the story with text and a photo. Whatever way, we are looking for great stories that answer the following questions:
• What was the tipping point that made your hero take action?
• What were some of the obstacles they faced?
• When did they achieve success?
• What has happened since? How are they inspiring people today?
